Just because you don’t have an active raise doesn’t mean you need to stop communicating about the investment programme. If you have a large raise aspiration, which you intend to fill over a number of raises over time, it can be sensible to build momentum with regular communications over time when there are relevant opportunities. Here are a couple of principles to bear in mind:
It is really important to build trust with residents on how your investment is delivering. So if you have news on projects that are being funded, it can make sense to link that back to the investment whenever they occur - even if you don’t have a raise live. We can then share that content through our networks and help to build confidence in your delivery.

Some councils even put a plaque on projects that are funded by the investment. It can be a really nice way to build tangibility into the comms!

Your landing page will change when you don’t have an open raise to ensure there is an easy way for residents to sign up for email updates on your investment programme. That means they will be notified when new investments launch. They can also get information on your use of funds so far, and engage with other key messaging to start the engagement proess.
