Why use this channel?

Many councils have used video content to promote their raises. It can be a great way of adding richness and tangibility to the investment - particularly when it is possible to focus on use of funds and how residents will benefit from the investment.

Messaging guidance

For a video, you must include the long form risk warning on a final frame of the video. It must be the frame that is held at the end of video playback. You should use the long form risk warning on this final frame, typically alongside the call to action.

Investments are long term and may be hard to sell. This is not a savings account. Changes in market interest rates may affect the value of your investment if you sell before maturity. Approver: Abundance (525432). Approval date: [01/07/2025]

Some of the examples given were created during times when different risk warning rules applied. Please use the copy specified above for risk warnings in all cases - disregard the specific wording used on the examples below in the event that it diverges.

Particular note for video. There was previously a requirement for their to be a risk warning watermark on all frames, but this is no longer the case.
